A Comparison in Detecting Hepatitis B Surface Antigen and Antibody to Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Using Various Methods

Abstract
|
|
|
Authors have compaired the results of HBsAg, Anti-HBsAb that were examined by RIA (radioimmunoassay), EIA (enzyme immunoassay) and RPHA (reverse passive hamagglutina-tion) methods.
The results are summarized as follows.
1) In HBsAg test, RPHA method disclosed 95.3% sensitivity and 100% specificity.
2) In HBsAg tests, EIA method disclosed 94.7% sensitivity and 100% specificity.
3) In Anti-HBsAb tests, PHA method disclosed 57.3% sensitivity and 96.7% specificity.
4) In AntiHBsAb tests, EIA method disclosed 90.7% sensitivity and 100% specificity.
